The Plate Company Inc. uses information to operate this website, answer rental inquiries, protect the service, understand website performance and—only when permitted—measure advertising and create audiences of website visitors.

The website remains usable when optional analytics and advertising are rejected. We do not sell customer inquiry information.

Information we collect

Information you provide

When you request a quote, we receive the details entered in the form, which may include your name, email address, phone number, event date, event type, guest count, preferred collections and inquiry notes. We use this information to answer your request, prepare rentals and maintain business records.

Information generated by the service

Our hosting and security providers may process technical information such as IP address, browser and device type, requested pages, timestamps, security signals and error information to deliver and protect the website. Cloudflare Turnstile is used to distinguish genuine submissions from automated abuse.

Acquisition information

When permitted and useful, we may record the referring website, landing page, campaign parameters and advertising click identifiers with an inquiry. We use this to understand how customers found us and which campaigns led to genuine inquiries.

Catalogue downloads

We keep a simple record of catalogue download requests to understand demand: the time, catalogue edition and website link used. This record contains no IP address, browser details, cookies, contact information or visitor identifier. We retain these anonymous counts for historical reporting.

Analytics and advertising

We use an opt-out consent model for non-sensitive analytics and advertising information. The corresponding providers may receive information about the pages and collections viewed, general device and browser information, approximate location derived from IP address, campaign information and actions such as starting or completing a quote request. You can review or change your choices at any time using Privacy choices in the website footer.

We do not place names, email addresses, phone numbers, free-text inquiry messages, invoice information or private invoice links in general website analytics events.

Google and Meta may process information outside Canada under their own terms and privacy practices. Their services may combine information with activity collected from other websites or accounts when their settings and your permissions allow it. Your choices

Analytics and Advertising are initially enabled under an opt-out model. You can turn them off or configure them separately using Privacy choices in the website footer. Your selection is kept for 180 days unless you change it sooner.

You may also use browser controls and the privacy controls offered by Google and Meta. Rejecting optional tracking does not prevent you from browsing collections or requesting a quote.

You may ask to access or correct personal information held by The Plate Company, or withdraw consent where applicable, by contacting us below. Some information may need to be retained for legal, security or legitimate business-record purposes.

Retention and safeguards

We keep personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including responding to inquiries, providing rentals, maintaining required business records, preventing abuse and resolving disputes. Analytics and advertising platforms apply the retention periods configured in their services.

We use access controls, encrypted connections and service-specific safeguards intended to protect information. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.
